The name Jesus does not have anything at all to do with Zeus. Zeus in Greek is actually Dios. Jesus is just a poorly transliterated/copied/re-copied version of the Aramaic name Yeshua, which means YHVH’s Salvation. If the Apostles intended to say ‘hail Zeus’ they would have written ‘kataigismos Dios’ or ‘chalazi Dios’ and not Iesous.
Every year discussions, questions, and disagreements alike take place over the chronology of the crucifixion week and the question; did Yeshua and the disciples celebrate the Passover Seder. We hope this broadcast will be helpful in clarifying those questions and encourage positive discussion. We also have a chart attachment available with this week’s broadcast showing our interpretation of the chronology (click on the Download Transcript button on the right side of the website player). Chag same'ach (wishing you a joyous festival).
